Here’s what you need to know:

Election Day: Thursday, August 3rd, 2023

Early Voting: July 14th-July 29th



Other important dates:

  • Voter registration deadline: Wednesday, July 5th

  • Early voting begins: Friday, July 14th

  • Absentee ballot request deadline: Thursday, July 27th

  • Early voting ends: Saturday, July 29th

What to bring to the polls?

  • Voters need to bring a government-issued photo ID.

  • TN Driver’s License

  • TN Photo ID Card

  • Military ID

  • US Passport

  • *NOTE: STUDENT IDS ARE NOT ALLOWED.

Interpretation:

  • **All voters have the right to bring an interpreter to vote
    *Todos de los votantes tienen el derecho a un intérprete

    • This can be a friend, a neighbor, a family member
      Esto puede ser un amigo, un miembro de familia, un vecino

  • The interpreter does not have to bring an ID, but will be asked to sign a document saying they are there to be an interpreter for the voter only.

  • **Voters must bring their own interpreter—the polling location will not provide one

Problems at the polls
If you are being told you can’t vote or are having trouble voting call 1-866-OUR-VOTE.

Who is on the ballot?

General Municipal Election includes elections for: Mayor, Vice Mayor, City Council.

Voting Protocol:

  • Bring a blue or black ink pen, however they are providing each voter with single-use ink pens and ballot secrecy folders.

  • If using a desktop, confirm that the address on your registration is current by using the lookup tool above.

  • If your address is not current, please submit an address change as soon as possible by visiting PROUDVOTER.ORG/PARTNER/TIRRCVOTES. Voters who have not updated their address before casting their ballot will be required to fill out an address change form. They may also be required to travel to another polling location if voting on Election Day.

  • On Election Day, the law requires voters to cast their ballot at their assigned Election Day polling location.
