In 2018, we founded TIRRC Votes because we recognized what a powerful tool elections are for our communities, and that in order to harness that tool for our biggest impact we needed an avenue to hold candidates accountable at the ballot box and provide clear direction for our communities when they go to the polls to cast their votes.

That's why this year, we are endorsing candidates up and down the ballot who provide our greatest opportunity to hold off encroaching authoritarianism at both the state and federal level.

Just as the GOP supermajority in the state legislature stifles our voices, harms our communities, and threatens our democracy, Donald Trump's Project 2025 promises more of the same authoritarian playbook: gutting our government, rolling back worker rights, slashing environmental protections, instituting a national ban on abortion, and implementing the largest deportation effort ever seen in communities in every state.

There's too much stake to leave votes on the table.

We know during federal election years voters are motivated to head to the polls by the top of the ticket, but often forget to vote down ballot. So when you cast your ballot early between October 16-31 or on Election Day, November 5, take a stand against the power hungry politicians by voting for TIRRC Votes endorsed candidates up and down the ballot.

From now until election day we are knocking on doors in key districts and organizing across the state to flip seats, protect champions, and elect candidates at every level that will hold authoritarianism at bay.

But make no mistake: Once these candidates are elected we will fight like hell to make sure they deliver for our communities. Whether it's protecting our communities from attacks at the state legislature, creating a pathway to citizenship, or addressing the root causes of global migration, we know every candidate can do more to create a state and country where everyone can belong. But we can't hold them accountable if they don't get into office.

If you're ready to build power for our communities at every level of government, make a contribution today to help us knock more doors, send more mail, and organize more immigrants and refugees to head to the polls. Together, we can make our vision of a multiracial democracy a reality and build a state where everyone can thrive.
